GOOD to GrOw™ Program Highlights
- Veterans linked with existing community garden programs as volunteers, subject matter experts, or garden team leaders.
- Veterans recruited to assist with the establishment of, and act as advisors for, new community gardens for schools, churches, and neighborhoods.
- Collaboration with existing farmers markets and establishment of new markets to generate program funds from sales of community garden produce and other artisan items produced by the veterans and volunteers.
- Opportunities for veterans to restore and enhance their spiritual well-being in safe and welcoming environments – labyrinth walking meditations, dog-friendly gatherings, connection or reconnection with spiritual communities, engagement with meaningful civilian community service activities.
