WSP Yoga Program Highlights:

  • Carefully selected Certified Yoga Teachers connected to the Warrior community and specially trained to work with the effects of trauma
  • Trauma-informed yoga and meditation protocol, with evidence-based Integrative Restoration (iRest©) Meditation as the primary meditation style
  • Workshops, seminars, and short series focused on strategies for short-term nervous system regulation and long-term resilience
  • Specialized trauma-informed classes brought to existing peer groups (police departments, veteran groups, etc.) and offered in a variety of locations
  • Collaboration with community recreation centers and yoga studios to offer yoga classes that veterans and first responders can attend at no cost
  • Teaching and Learning Collaboration (TLC) seminars to provide ongoing education, training, and connection for all WSP yoga and meditation teachers
  • Warrior Spirit Project 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training program, to equip Warriors and their family members as Certified Warrior Yoga Teachers  (C-WYT®) qualified in trauma-informed yoga and meditation methods, who can bring classes into their own Warrior communities
